Homework for Parents
Us big kids have to learn too!!
I love the idea of the article but the post kind of left me hanging...I wanted more out of it!
To appease my wondering mind, I thought I’d reach out to all of you to get some fresh ideas. Your task, moms and dads, is to develop and share your ideas WITHOUT using google or any other digital source.
First, Read the article: 6 clever ways to reuse household waste in your garden
Next, Your Assignment is to comment or post your ideas; What else can we reuse in our own homes, right now while we are in isolation, that will save money, resources, pollution and save us from having to leave the house?
Bonus points for trying it out and sharing your pics and how-to guide with us 🙂
Quadruple Bonus Points for involving your children in the project!!
Automatic Super Star Award for incorporating math and science and, depending on your project, a multitude of other educational tie-ins to your activity. Involving your children (even if they just observe and hold things for you) helps provide both curriculum and societal based learning opportunities!
Remember, no googling, you have to come up with an idea of your own!!
Will you do your homework as parents?!? Will you take this opportunity to learn and grow? Post your ideas on what we can reuse. Let’s play the roles society has led us to. Time to practice what we preach!

I've started this page during the COVID break to help the kiddos continue learning at home. Most activities can be done with kids of all ages if parents vary the level of content, participation and discussion appropriate to each child! (differentiated instruction). Before the break we were at letter S. Visit our facebook page for letter A-R activities at https://www.facebook.com/evergreenacademy.ca/
